Need help with Cuptale? Try the quick answers below or email hello@karelbusta.dev.

Log a cup

Tap Log a cup at the bottom of the journal. Pick the coffee, how you made it and how it was, then tap Stick it in. Recipe, tastes and a note are optional. To log the same thing again, swipe right on a cup and tap Log again.

Scan a bag

Tap the barcode button next to Log a cup and point the camera at the barcode on the bag. A bag you have logged before opens straight away. A new one is looked up in Open Food Facts, which knows supermarket coffee well but many small roasters not at all. If nothing is found, add the coffee yourself and the barcode is saved with it, so the next scan finds it. If the camera can't read the code, tap Type it in.

Make a sticker

Open a coffee, tap Edit, then tap the sticker to snap the bag or pick a photo. For the cleanest cut-out, photograph the bag on a plain background in good light. If Cuptale can't find the bag in the photo, try again from a little further away.

Offline and sync

You can log cups without a connection; they sync when you are back online. Your journal syncs across every device signed in with the same Apple Account. If a cup is missing on another device, open the app there while online and give it a moment.

Delete your account

Open Settings from the person button at the top of the journal and tap Delete account. This permanently removes every cup, coffee and sticker and your sign-in account.

Still need help?

Email hello@karelbusta.dev and include what happened, what you expected, your iPhone model and your iOS version. A screenshot helps when it does not contain private information.

Cuptale

Log every cup, rate it with Bean, and turn every coffee you try into a sticker.
